Is AevenSpace really free?

Yes — completely free for students. Every feature, including Aeven AI, focus sessions, well-being check-ins and LMS sync, is included at no cost. No paid tiers, no upsells, no ads.

Do I hand my homework in through AevenSpace?

No. AevenSpace is a workspace, not a school system — you still hand work in wherever your school says. It organises, plans and helps you study; nothing you write here is ever sent to a teacher.

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use it?

Not at all. Add a task in plain language and Aeven does the planning. There are no prompts to learn and nothing to configure — the calm, uncluttered interface is the whole point.

Does it integrate with Canvas, Blackboard or Moodle?

That's what LMS integration is for — Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle and Brightspace. Import your syllabus or sync deadlines and your semester roadmap builds itself from your school's own data. The sync is read-only: assignments come in, nothing goes back out.

Is the embedded course content really free?

Yes — all 72 courses are included on the free plan, embedded under the provider's terms, with attribution intact. We don't paywall education somebody else gave away.

How does Aeven break down my work?

When you add an assignment, Aeven reads the task, the course, the difficulty and how you said you're doing, then returns a structured list of sub-tasks with an estimate for each. The breakdown is scoped to what you can realistically finish in the time and energy you actually have.

Is the AI going to get me in trouble?

Aeven explains, questions, quizzes and plans. “Draft writing for me” ships switched off, and when it does suggest a sentence it says out loud that you should rewrite it in your own words. Your work stays yours — that's the point of the product.

What if I don't want an AI in my margin?

One switch in Settings removes the rail from every screen. Everything else — assignments, courses, notes, calendar — works exactly the same without it.

How does the well-being check-in affect my schedule?

Report high stress or low energy and AevenSpace reorders the day to surface lighter work first, shortens focus sessions, and tempers what Aeven suggests. On a good day it does the opposite, and puts your hardest work in your best hours.

How does the check-in stay private?

Your stress, energy and mood are yours alone — used only to shape your own schedule and Aeven's suggestions. They're never sold, never shown to anyone else, and you can clear them at any time.

Will my school know I'm using it?

Only if you tell them. If you connect your school account, the sync is read-only — assignments and grades come in, nothing goes out. There is no teacher dashboard, and there never will be.

Can I take my stuff with me?

Any time: notes as Markdown, assignments and calendar as .ics, in one zip. Deleting your account removes everything within 30 days, and we email you the export first.
