Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AevenSpace at aevenspace.org (the "Service"), operated by AevenSpace ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use AevenSpace
AevenSpace is built for students. You may use it if you can form a binding agreement with us, or if a parent, guardian, or school is doing so on your behalf. If you are under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live), you may use AevenSpace only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or school. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
2. Your account and your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in AevenSpace — your courses, assignments, notes, check-ins, and everything else. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, display, and process that content to operate the Service for you (for example, syncing it across your devices and generating your schedule). We don't claim ownership of your work and we don't use it to advertise to you.
3. Acceptable use
Please use AevenSpace for its intended purpose — organizing your own studies. You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights while using the Service;
- attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or probe, scan, or breach our security;
- disrupt or overload the Service, or abuse the AI or voice features to run workloads unrelated to your own studying;
- copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service; or
- upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates someone else's rights.
4. Aeven AI
AevenSpace includes AI features (chat, task breakdowns, quizzes, and optional voice) that generate suggestions and content. AI can be wrong. Aeven AI is a study aid, not a substitute for your own judgment, your teachers, or professional advice — including medical, mental-health, or academic-integrity guidance. Quizzes and study materials generated by Aeven are for practice only. You're responsible for how you use what the AI produces, including following your school's academic-honesty rules.
5. Well-being features are not medical advice
The well-being check-in helps pace your schedule based on what you report. It is not a medical or mental-health service and does not diagnose, treat, or provide crisis support. If you are struggling or in crisis, please reach out to a trusted person or a professional resource. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
6. Third-party integrations
If you connect Canvas, Google Classroom, Todoist, or a calendar feed, your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. You're responsible for having the right to connect and import that data.
7. Third-party course content
Course material provided by Khan Academy is made available under Khan Academy's own terms, with attribution intact. We don't claim ownership of it, and we can't guarantee its continued availability within the Service.
8. Availability and changes
AevenSpace is currently offered free of charge. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may limit, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We aim to keep it running smoothly but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
9. The Service is provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that AI output will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AevenSpace and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Because AevenSpace is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using AevenSpace anytime and request account deletion by emailing aevenspace@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe threaten the safety or integrity of the Service or its users.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as AevenSpace evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
