Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 20, 2026

AevenSpace is intended to be usable by every student, including students who use assistive technology. This statement describes the standard we work to, the measures we take, the limitations we currently know about, and how to reach us if something is inaccessible to you.

1. Standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit, so this is a statement of the target we design and build against, not a claim of certified conformance.

2. Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML structure, with headings, landmarks, and labelled form controls.
  • Keyboard operability for interactive components, including dialogs, menus, and the daily check-in.
  • Colour combinations chosen to meet AA contrast ratios for body text and interface text.
  • Support for the operating system's reduced-motion preference; decorative animation is suppressed when it is set.
  • Layouts that reflow to small viewports and tolerate browser text resizing up to 200%.

3. Known limitations

  • The interactive product demonstration on the home page is pointer-driven and is hidden on narrow viewports; the equivalent information is available in the surrounding text.
  • Course video content is supplied by Khan Academy, and its captions and transcripts are provided by Khan Academy rather than by us.
  • Some dense views — the week calendar in particular — scroll horizontally on small screens.

4. Assistive technology

We test with current versions of major browsers together with the screen readers built into the platforms we support. We cannot guarantee behaviour in every combination of browser, operating system, and assistive technology.

5. Feedback and enforcement

If you encounter a barrier in AevenSpace, email aevenspace@gmail.com with the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days and will tell you what we can fix and when. If our response does not resolve the matter, you may be entitled to escalate it to the accessibility regulator in your jurisdiction.

This document is provided in good faith to describe our accessibility practices in plain language. It is not legal advice.
